Lisa Champene, RN, BSN, has been a dedicated and versatile healthcare professional since earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of St. Francis in 2010. Throughout her career, Lisa has gained extensive experience in various nursing specialties, with a particular focus on intravenous (IV) therapy and patient care.
Starting her career as a medical-surgical nurse, Lisa quickly expanded her expertise by working in several specialized areas. Her clinical journey includes serving as an oncology nurse, where she provided compassionate care to cancer patients, and as a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nurse, monitoring and assisting patients recovering from surgery.
Lisa has also worked in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she developed critical care skills while managing patients with life-threatening conditions. Her role as a clinical resource nurse further expanded her leadership abilities, where she collaborated with medical teams to enhance patient outcomes and streamline clinical practices.
However, Lisa’s true passion lies in her work as an IV Specialist, where she has honed her skills in Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) line placement. Her expertise in this specialized procedure has made her a key asset to the medical teams she has worked with, ensuring optimal patient care for those requiring long-term IV access.
